在克里米亞危機(2014 Crimean crisis)爆發之後的2015年初，隸屬駐歐美軍的第二騎兵團(2nd Cavalry Regiment)要求升級M1126史崔克裝甲車的火力。美國陸軍於是決定將標槍(FGM-148 Javelin)反戰車飛彈安裝於M1126的武器站(remote weapon system)之上，讓M1126史崔克自此擁有了對抗第三代(Third generation)戰車的能力。

After the 2014 Crimean Crisis, the 2nd Calvery Regiment of the United States Army Europe/Africa submitted a request to have the firepower of the  M1126 Stryker upgraded. The United States Army decided to have the FGM-148 Javelin anti-tank missile fitted to the M1126’s CROWS-II (Raytheon Common Remote Weapon Station).
This enhanced the Stryker’s capability to engage third generation main battle tanks.

2014年のクリミア危機が発生した後、2015年初頭にヨーロッパに駐屯するアメリカ陸軍第2ストライカー騎兵連隊は、M1126ストライカー装甲車の火力のアップグレードを求めました。アメリカ陸軍は、FGM-148ジャベリン対戦
車ミサイルをM1126ストライカーのRWS(遠隔兵器システム)に搭載することを決定し、第3世代の主力戦車と対抗できる能力を与えました。
